2 Day Multi-Pitch Climbing Course (optional Rescue Skills add on day)

from £340.00

2 DAY Course | £450 with RESCUE SKILLS Add On Day

Learn how to climb multi-pitch trad routes safely and efficiently based in Eryri/Snowdonia, North Wales on this 2 day course.

The course content includes:

  • Equipment and gear management

  • Guidebooks and locating routes.

  • Route selection for weather, conditions and climbing level

  • Climbing calls and communication

  • Anchors: building multi-point trad anchors at belay stances and belaying

  • Placing trad gear and avoiding rope drag.

  • Stance management & transitions

  • Abseils and retreat

  • Basic problem solving (stuck gear, tying off a belay plate, communication breakdown)

ADD ON Day Improvised Rescue Skills

In a multipitch environment it is much more complex to be able to solve minor to more serious problems due to not being able to lower a partner to the ground and the more remote nature of such routes.

  • Escaping the system

  • Hoisting a second (my most used rescue!)

  • Problems and solutions for abseiling

  • Descending and ascending a rope to reach a second

  • Lowering past a knot

  • Getting a unconscious casualty off a crag

If you can’t find the course dates you’d like below feel free to get in contact to arrange alternative dates which suit you.
